Forsythia 'Weekend'

Forsythia ‘Weekend’ is an attractive variety of Forsythia plants, featuring lance shaped leaves and bright yellow flowers that grow abundantly. It is a more compact variety with upright growing habit, making it most suitable for use as a hedging plant. These plants create an astonishing display of flowers in spring, especially when planted as borders in a garden.

Forsythia Weekend blooms flowers abundantly, covering the entire thin bare stems that rise from the bottom of the shrub. These flowers when in their full glory, indicate the beginning of spring season.

These deciduous shrubs will thrive in full sunlight or partial shade, planted in a moist soil that is also well-drained. To encourage the growth of the plant, add a balanced feed of fertiliser. Once Forsythia plants establish their roots system, they would not ask for extra care.

These are low maintenance shrubs, easy to grow even for a seasoned gardener. But the impact these little (3cm) bright flowers can have over a landscape of a garden, is just magnificent.

Forsythia Weekend bloom throughout March and April. After the flowers fade, the beautiful foliage will keep the plants spirited for the remaining seasons. These shrubs can be planted as excellent hedging plants or as borders in any general garden landscape.
